The recordings are completed and mixed. Now it is time for the final mastering and duplication of disks!

It has been a long road to the finish line, but a wonderful experience working with a number of new musicians and talents. It was a blast testing the songs and concepts with so many people of every age and taste, and for their help I’m so grateful.

We have completed the plans for the website, free downloads, and marketing. Social media, especially ‘Facebook’ and ‘Myspace’ have become an integral part of the plan to deliver the record. The band is set, but it is tough scheduling with great musicians who are in such demand.

I have incorporated a number of ideas to launch this in a creative way, but it will take friends, family, and fans to make it work. It’s difficult to spread the word without ‘bugging’ people, but I have made every effort to keep that to a minimum. So, Let’s Go! – WHAT?

Victor Reynolds had this incredible jazzy-funky track on which he had played and recorded everything. A great songwriter and Da-drummer man! At the time I was trying to add lyrics and vocals, the whole vampire thing was getting bigger and I had an old lyric note that said "Energy Vampire". So I took the idea of someone trying to suck all the positive energy out of you "with all your negativity" and went with that story line. The cool groove Victor set seems to work with it well, and Axel did his finishing touches. In fact, Axel and I met at IPR while I was recording the vocals; the rest is fun-in-motion.

Robert De Niro said it; and it always works. This is my oldNfunky rocker – What?
Great early tracks from Kyle, fab guitar from Deevo, and a great finish from Axel.
Another thanks to IPR on vox trax here.

I wrote this in Cancun by “writing down” some great lines I heard at the hotel bar and pool, along with help from the bartender and his famous line (“what time is it?” ‘shotta clock’). Kyle Wood, Alex Clemons, and Axel's funky piano and keys did the rest! Another thanks to IPR on the vox trax – they made me push it, and I kinda like that!

Savannah_smSavannah Ann Marie Davis is my first grandchild. She calls me G-Pop! It was so exciting waiting for such an angel to appear. It did not take long to write this song, but it’s been awhile, since she is now 3 and a little model (Target). She loves to play her mini bongos, piano, guitar and sing. She’s feisty too. Her picture tells the story!

Thanks to Scooter Nelson and Mogul Music Studio for making this happen. Scooter played drums and engineered, while we basically did everything in one or two takes. Axel Schneider arranged and played the orchestration – another brilliant job!
